This is my first blog and I can't wait to show you all how awesome my Summertime Coasters using Artesprix Sublimation Markers turned out. Hopefully this blog inspires you to make your own coasters!
What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?
Artesprix Sublimation Markers work with heat and allow you to customize all types of different Blanks. Sublimation Blanks are made of high Polyester count and can be anything from coasters, bags, tumblers to aprons or shirts. The possibilities are endless. Sublimation markers allow for your creativity to shine. When I was asked if I could make coasters, I knew I wanted to make Summertime Coasters using Artesprix Sublimation Markers for the new bar in my backyard.

Step-by-Step Tutorial
Now let's get into the step by step tutorial of how I created Summertime Coasters using Artesprix Markers!
Step 1: Cut and Print - I traced and cut out 4 squares larger than my coasters (about 4 x 4) out of regular copy paper.
I downloaded, sized and Printed the images I wanted to use for my Coasters.
Pro Tip: Because sublimation requires your image to be mirrored, I mirrored the images I would be tracing before printing them.
Step 2: Trace - It’s been a while since I traced something so I felt a little rusty! I used my Tracing Light Pad to make it easier to trace. I did one design at a time and it took me about 14 min to trace them all.
Step 3: Color - This is the fun part! Let your creativity flow and watch your art begin to take shape. I had such a hard time picking what colors to use in the Artesprix Sublimation Makers because they have so many beautiful colors to choose from! My favorites were the Pastel Color Markers .
Pro Tip: Turn on your heatHeat Press to 400 F degrees so it can heat up while you color!
Step 4: Sublimation Sandwich Building - Flip your coaster on to your artwork and line up your design. Once you have our design lined up you can place two pieces of heat tape to help keep the design in place. Repeat for each coaster.
Step 5: Sublimation Sandwich Buns - For this step you will want to cut out 2 pieces of Protective paper big enough to cover each coaster. One will go under the coaster and the second will go over the coster; creating a sublimation sandwich.
Step 6: Time to Press - For my coasters I used the time and temperature recommended. 400 F degrees for 90 seconds.
Step 7: Peek Test - After you press your coaster you will want to carefully lift the corner of the paper, without removing the tape, to make sure you have a vibrant transfer.
Pro Tip: Be very careful when doing this. If your transfer is not vibrant enough you can re-press. But avoid any movement, shifts, adjusting the heat tape to avoid ghosting. Check your time, temperature, and pressure settings. Also ensure your Sublimation Sandwich wasn't in the press upside down.
Step 8: The BIG Reveal - The best part! You get to reveal your project! But be careful it gets very hot!! I like to use heat gloves to ensure my hands are protected.
