Snow Mobile Iron-on-Ink Ornament

Good morning. Nicole here! I'm excited to share this adorable ornament for the holidays I created using Artesprix's Sublimation Markers and the Sublimation Ink Pad that is available in the shop. Christmas is coming so I want to get a heads start on making some fun decorations for my home! I do it for my son...I’m not big on decorating, but I don’t want to ruin it for him. :) So let's get started on this Snow Mobile Iron-on-Ink Ornament.

What are Artesprix Sublimation Markers?

Magic Ink that transfers their beautiful colors from plain copy paper to a polyester product with a heat source. Iron-on-Ink Markers are the way to personalize sublimation, which is specially formulated inks that transfer only when activated with heat.

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

Step 1: Trace your ornament  onto a plain piece of copy paper using a pencil. That way you know how much space you have to work with. I love the shape of this ornament, plenty of room to get creative for this Snow Mobile Iron-on-Ink Ornament.

Pro Tip: Set your heat press at 400℉ with a transfer time of 75 seconds before you start working on your ornament. That way, the heat press will be hot enough to sublimate your images when you are finished. :)

Step 2: Stamp images within the traced area using the Sublimation Ink Pad and Acrylic Block. Create mirror text by tracing the image using the Tracing Application using your phone or a light-pad.

Step 3: Next, color in the images using your Sublimation Markers. Don't fret if the colors look muted, they will become vibrant once heat and pressure is applied.

Step 4: Using heat tape, tape down the ornament (white side faced down) onto the images.

Step 5: Place a piece of Protective Paper at the top and bottom of your ornament.  Place your "Sublimation Sandwich" inside the heat press for 75 seconds at 400℉.

Step 6: Take a sneak peek to make sure the colors are vibrant.  Carefully, remove a small piece of the paper to ensure your transfer is vibrant.

Step 7: If your transfer was successful, place the ornament onto the Project Mat to cool down. Remove the paper and heat tape to reveal your vivid designs! Add the red ribbon that comes with your Artesprix Metal Ornament set and embellish as desired!
