CREATE Artesprix Iron-on-Ink Frame!

Hello Ivy here! Today I am bringing you a quick fun and super easy sublimation project using the Artesprix Sublimation Markers and their Picture Frame blank.Artesprix Picture Frame

Have you tried Sublimation Markers before?

I think Sublimation Markers are the coolest product to come to the Sublimation Industry! These special sublimation markers allow you to transfer your design from regular copy paper to any substrate with polyester in it. The more polyester in your blank the better the transfer. I am using an Artesprix Picture Frame which is 100% Polyester coating so we will get an amazing transfer when the sublimation process takes place!

Materials & Tools:

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

Step 1: Trace the photo frame on a blank piece of paper using a pencil. Remember pencil does not transfuse only the Ink in Artesprix's Sublimation Markers!

Step 2: Cut a piece of Artesprix protective paper which is made out of silicone. Brush on the colors you want to use, I’m using different pink tones but you can use any colors you want. Trace Picture Frame with Pencil

Step 3: Using a wet paint brush lift the color you want to start off with from the silicone sheet. Then randomly brush strokes in different directions. Repeat this step with however many color layers you want to use.Brush stokes on copy paper

Step 4: Once all the layers are brushed on the last step is to “splash” the Artesprix Sublimation Ink Refill - Black.

To make splatters I took some refill ink on my wet brush and gently tapped it. (caution no matter how gently you tap it will splatter all over so do this step on a surface you don’t mind getting some splatters)

Wait for the paper to completely dry. I let mine dry overnight.

Step 5: Tape the frame white side down on the painted sheet.

Step 6: Prep your entire design for the Heat Transfer process. Sandwich the frame in between a protective sheets. Be sure that your design is face down to your blank on the top of your Sublimation Sandwich.

Step 7: Set your heat press to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and the timer for 30 seconds.

Step 8: Before you remove the image from the heat press, take a quick peek to see if the colors look vibrant.

Step 9: This last step is optional. You can leave the frame as is or add decorations to the frame like I did. I’m using this for my craft room and I wanted to add some extra decorations.

The Big Reveal of the Artesprix Picture Frame

I hope you enjoyed this quick project. If you want to try something more elaborate this Zentangle frame is a fun one to work on.
