Hey everyone, Sarah here! I don’t know about you but I LOVE CAMPING. It is one of my favorite things. We have recently been exploring the option of buying a travel trailer. In order to help convince my hubby that we NEED one. I have started to create camper décor. Then when he asks where we are going to put this stuff…I can say “our camper” HA HA HA. It’s got to work right? Follow along as I create these Campfire Fridge Magnets with Iron-on-Ink.
What are Sublimation Markers?
Artesprix Sublimation Markers are goodness in a pen. There are so many fun ways to use these markers. The possibilities are endless. Just draw and color your design either by hand or with your crafting machine onto plain copy paper and press onto a sublimation blank. There is seriously no end to the things you can create so Campfire Fridge Magnets with Iron-on-Ink was perfect for my July Magnet Blog.
Materials

Heat Press or iron
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
Step 1: For this project, I did not trace my blank. I measured the blank and created the shape in Silhouette Studio using the Flexi shape tool. The Flexi Shape tool is available in Designer Plus edition or higher of the software. Once the shape was created I sized it to the correct measurements.
Step 2: Using your Silhouette machine, pen holder with the large adapter, and a black Artesprix Sublimation Marker sketch out your design on the copy paper you traced your blank on. Step 3: Once the design is sketched, unload it from your machine and start coloring. This is always my favorite part.
Pro Tip: Before you get started coloring, set your Heat Press to 400℉ so it can pre-heat while you are creating.
Step 5: Once I was done coloring, I cut off the excess copy paper, but not too much so I still have paper to use tape with. To position my design correctly on the blank I held it up to the light so I could see where it matched up.
Step 6: When it is positioned where you want it, tape it in place.
Step 7: Once they are all taped in place, create your sublimation sandwich. A sublimation sandwich is where you place your blanks with the design securely taped in place in between two pieces of protective paper.
Step 8: Place the sublimation sandwich on your press. Once it reaches the required temperature, press the magnets for 75 seconds. When the time is up, do a "peek test"
to make sure you got a good transfer.
Step 9: f you got a good transfer, use heat gloves to move the magnets to a heat resistant surface. I just my Artesprix Protective Project mat. Once cooled enough remove the copy paper and heat tape.
Step 10: The just peel and stick the included adhesive magnets on the back and you are all set!!
I can’t wait to create more magnets. I think next time I’m going to have my kids draw some designs for them. Then I will use them to put their own artwork up on the fridge!
